It is an institute of advanced learning and
technology. It was founded by the Government of Ontario in 1967 and is
supported by Ministry of Education and training.
It is a polytechnic institute with
approximately 25,000 students registered for full time programs. It has
campuses in Mississauga, Brampton and Oakville.
According to the rankings given by Research
Infosource Inc., Sheridan is one in the top 5 research colleges in Canada. Two
of the Alumni were given Emmy’s in 2018 in the field of editing.
